Tim Maciejewski received his bachelors in Geology in '94 and his Masters in Geophysics in '96 from the University of Texas at El Paso. It is here where he met his wife Dee Smith. He started his career with Chevron in Midland, Texas in 1996 as a Geophysicist. He then moved to New Orleans in 2000 and worked in the sub-salt group. Then in quick procession he moved to Lafayette in 2001 working the Western Shelf, then Houston in 2003 working in the Midland, Arkoma Basins, along with the rest of Texas and portions of Arkansas. He then moved back to New Orleans in 2006 to work the Eastern Shelf and onshore areas. Tim has previously served as the First and Second Vice President, President and Past President of the SGS. Tim is also an active member of the SEG and NOGS. In what little spare time he has, Tim enjoys Geocaching, cooking ( and eating ), and the company of the New Orleans Gem and Mineral Society.
