Lisa Kennedy is a native of the Greater New Orleans area and attended Mount Carmel Academy. She received her BS and MS in Geology from UNO in 2001 and 2006 respectively. While working towards her MS degree at UNO, Lisa worked full time as a co-op student with the Minerals Management Service in New Orleans. Following graduation, Lisa has continued her work at MMS as a geophysicist in Resource Evaluation. She is also a member of SEG, AAPG, and NOGS.
Lisa is also an assistant leader for a local Girl Scout troop of 4th-6th graders from The International School of Louisiana. She continues to volunteer, and recruit volunteers, for various local events regarding educational endeavors. These include but are not limited to: Super Science Saturday, Fun Science for Families Day, and the Greater New Orleans Science & Engineering Fair.
